Hi Everyone!! I have some wonderful news to share!! As some of you know I recently started my own pattern fitting series, “My Approach to Successful Pattern Fitting”. I’ve been writing and producing this project on my own for the past several weeks and debuted Part 1: Measuring Properly on Memorial Day. It’s received great interest and is continuing to grow week by week. If you’d like to check it out, here’s the outline of the series and a little bit of background on why I decided to take on pattern fitting. The pattern fitting series is currently on Part 4A, however it’s all available on my blog for you to start anytime you’d like to jump in!! I invite you all to check it out!!
So on to the great news. I have been contacted by a member of our local chapter of The American Sewing Guild about interest in my pattern fitting series!! I’m so excited!! Several women from the group have agreed to pair up and try out my pattern fitting series. They will form a focus group to discuss and implement the series information I have written and produced. There will be 3 pairs of ladies that will follow the photo illustrations and written information and go through the 8 week series one by one. At the end we will all get together and I will listen to their feedback on how successful they feel the series was to them. This focus group will convene the middle of next month towards the end of this series. I’m excited to hear the feedback from this group of ladies about what they thought was helpful and areas that they feel I can improve on. This is a wonderful opportunity to actually hear and see real results from this series that I’ve worked very hard to produce. My hope is that this information will be valuable in helping those interested in learning to improve their fitting skills. I want to help people on their “Journey Back to Garment Sewing”!!
I was also invited to speak about this series at their September ASG meeting. It will be wonderful to publically introduce my series and share it with this group of women and see their reaction.
Thank you all for your continued support, questions, emails, messages, pinning on Pinterest and sharing my information with your sewing groups!! Have a Happy Creative Day!!
