Hi Everyone!!  First, I would like to say THANK YOU for the amazing response from YOU to my Video Series featuring the Singer Quantum Stylist 9960.  It’s truly been amazing with all the kind comments, emails, questions, sharing and requests.

 

 


Keeping that in mind, I decided that I would like to share a New Video Series!!  With all the interest, requests and questions I’ve gotten over the past 8 months about the Singer Quantum Stylist 9960, I thought I would introduce the perfect companion machine!!  I’ve owned this machine for many years and have used it and enjoyed it very much.  I own several other sergers, however this is the one I use most often to join my knit seams with confidence.  I like to leave my other sergers set up to do other stitches, such as narrow rolled hem, a narrow overlock for my woven fabrications or a flatlock stitch.

This is a simple machine that’s a perfect starter machine if you’re new to the world of the Serger/Overlocker!  It’s easy to thread, simple to adjust and makes a perfect stitch.  By using this machine, you will be able to finish off your seams like a pro and never have to worry about things unraveling on your projects in the future.  But more importantly, if you’ve been wanting to branch out and start working with all those beautiful knits on the market right now, this machine makes it easier, faster and gives you more options than a single needle machine can.

As this NEW series progresses, I will be detailing each of the 6 stitches this machine is capable of stitching and explaining what each stitch is used for.  5 of these 6 stitches are capable of stitching in 2 widths depending on which needle is used.  This versatility is achieved by using the left or the right needle.  I will be explaining and giving details as I go through each stitch, what each stitch is used for, the type of fabric it’s best suited for and the benefits of using each stitch.  I will also be showing how to use this machine to create decorative effects.
