Thank You ALL so much for such amazing support for my most recent on camera videos. It’s been great to try something new and different. Being part of the #sewatop YouTube vlog hop earlier this month and being invited to participate in a product focus group, were both great experiences and helped me grow. I also wanted to thank you for the tremendous response to the Auto Cutter Repair Video that my husband and I created for you. It has helped numerous people and many of you have reached out with thanks. I’m so glad that we could help!! Sharing my love of the Singer 9960 and sewing is something that brings me so much joy! I can’t tell you have gratifying it is to hear from my fans and subscribers about how much they’ve learned from my videos and that they now have confidence in trying a new sewing operation.
So with that being said…..I’m back with a NEW Video Featuring The Singer Quantum Stylist 9960 to help you grow your sewing skills. Here’s The Zipper Foot “E”!! I know what you’re saying to yourself now. “I’m scared of sewing in a zipper!!”. or “I’ve avoided projects that require putting in a zipper because I’m afraid!!” If you’ve said YES to these 2 questions, it’s time for you to learn. I show how to insert a center sewn zipper in this video and share a couple of tips to help you make it Super Easy & Perfect!! Learning how to insert a zipper will open up a whole new world of possibilities for you. It’s just like anything else. Once you learn “how to” insert a zipper, it will become a Super Power!! I Promise!! This video has got you covered!!
How to Use the Zipper Foot & Insert a Zipper
The foot featured in this video is the Zipper Foot “E” that came with the Singer 9960. It’s a snap on foot and it snaps onto the metal shank in two different positions to accommodate sewing both sides of the zipper properly. Until I purchased the Singer 9960, I had used another zipper foot almost exclusively. That foot is a screw on adjustable foot and it’s the one I’m most familiar with, but it was time for me to try THIS Zipper Foot and share it with you.
I hope you find this video on inserting a center sewn zipper and using the Zipper Foot very helpful and will venture out and give it a try. It opens up so many wonderful possibilities of sewing a fitted garment, a removable pillow covering, making bags and organizers and other items that will take your sewing to a whole other level!
