McCall’s Pattern Company just came out with their New Summer 2020 Lookbook!!  I’m loving some of the pieces of this New Collection.  Denim is my go to for comfort and many of the these Fantastic New pieces are mixed with jeans for a comfortable relaxed summer look.  I love the way they combined the casual feel with the upscale look of sequins.  Yes, Bling!!  Who doesn’t love to add a bit of bling to their wardrobe right??

Here are a few of my favorites from this collection that work with jeans.  I’m imagining each one with a denim skirt as well.

  • The first look on the left would be just an average top, but since it’s made in a super blingy fabric with large sequin paillettes, it’s extra special.  Takes a casual pair of jeans to an elevated level without feeling overdone.
  • The center look is just a simple tank top with jeans.  Then add a fun Moto Style Jacket in an beautiful fabrication, and this look is ready for dinner downtown on the Avenue.
  • The look on the right is my favorite of the three.  Once again, take a simple tank top and jeans, but this time add a flowy transparent topper in a soft summery print.  By adding the knot detail at the center front, it gives it a soft casual feel without being fussy.  Very feminine.

Below are couple of fabric options for the above sequin designs.  Mood Fabrics also has a variety of beautiful sequin fabrics to choose from.  Large teardrop sequins, small 2-toned sequins and even sequin fringe fabrics!!  So much to chose from in every color imaginable.  I got excited with how many sequin options I found. The more I looked the more I found. Stripes, floral and even animal prints.  Oh My!!

Mood Fabrics

Found the fabric on the left at Fabric Wholesale Direct.  It comes in a variety of shades.  This transparent irrdescent sequin fabric in Hologram White would work great for that Moto Jacket.

Found this fabric on the left at Fabric Direct.  These are 1/2″ sequin paillettes in iridescent mint.  This would be the perfect fabrication for the tshirt pictured above.

Here are a few dresses that really appealed to me as well.

These dresses appealed to me because they all have a loose comfortable fit.  Right now, everything for me needs to be all about comfort but still have a put together look.  These styles will be perfect for the hot summer months and beyond, here in sunny south Florida.   Love the way they paired the center dress with a cute sneaker.  Although the other 2 are paired with heals, flat sandals would look great too.   I imagine soft gauzy 100% cotton prints that have a crinkle texture for these designs.  Easy wear, easy care.
