Growing up, my Father was BIG into exploring  and buying new sewing tools for me.  He always made sure I had the latest and greatest tools to make the creative process easier. I still have my original OLFA Rotary Cutters he bought me from back when they first came out on the market.
I recently decided to try another PDF pattern that I found on Pinterest.  I had used a PDF pattern only one  time before when I made the Annika Skirt as a pattern tester for Pattern Review.  It was a simple A-line Skirt with only 2 pattern pieces so it wasn’t too involved, but I do remember all the scissor cutting being somewhat time consuming.  I came across a tool called the Scissor Mouse from Westcott that worked like a charm to cut out my PDF pattern pieces for assembly.  I don’t think it’s a new tool on the market, but it’s new to me.

It was easy to use and cut with remarkable accuracy. Â I used this cutter against a ruler next to each cutting line and sliced the paper with one swift stroke. Â I found it much easier and quicker using a straight edge with this tool instead of freehand.

By applying slight pressure, it rolls along while cutting with perfection. Â Using this tool for cutting the PDF pieces definitely made this process faster. Â On the front of the Scissor Mouse, there’s a measurement guide. Â Follow the -0- to align with the cutting line of the pattern.
I give this easy to use, inexpensive cutting tool a BIG thumbs up for cutting PDF patterns! Hope you find this review helpful and give it a try, especially if you’d like to venture into the wonderful world of PDF patterns that are offered on the market today!!
