Hi Everyone! I have so much to catch up with you about. Since quarantine, I’ve been using my L-500 as my “daily driver”. It has an onboard walking foot called Integrated Dual Feed or IDF. I really love that feature because it makes sewing so easy! Pfaff is the innovator of this Incredible feature, so not long ago I started to hunt for a nice pre-loved Pfaff! Well that dream came true last weekend when I purchased a gently used Pfaff Quilt Expression 2046!! Pfaff calls this feature, Integrated Dual Transport or IDT for short, but it’s the same mechanism. So every day for this last week, I’ve been putting this machine through it’s paces and sewed this hoodie on my New Machine!! I was selected to test a brand new pattern for Sinclair Patterns again!! This time it was for the Monterey Hoodie which I made for my son. He agreed to pose for photos if he could select the fabrics for the hoodie. I took that deal for the opportunity to make him a great hoodie. Win! Win! Please head over to my YouTube Channel, Roxanne Stitches for all the deets where I share my simple tips for perfect top stitching. I also share my tips for sewing flat non rippled seams with knits!!
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my latest pattern review on the Monterey Hoodie, by Sinclair Patterns. I hope you find this pattern review and sewing tips helpful. This project was more of a challenging sew for me with new techniques and sewn on my “new to me” machine. I was very impressed with the way the Pfaff Quilt Expression 2046 handled this project. It made beautiful top stitching and went through many layers so easily. Don’t forget to pick up this pattern on SALE for the release!! #afflink
