Hi Everyone!  I was invited to be part of a focus group by a company that develops products for Singer Brand.  I agreed to share my thoughts on the Singer Sew-It-Goes Sewing Essentials Kit as well as a variety of other storage solution products!!  I’ve made a product review video  to share this Amazing Kit with you and to share my experience as a focus group participant!  I was lucky to receive the kit pictured in the center below.  It’s the Neon Embroidery Thread option.  It comes packed with all the notions and extras you’d expect from a Singer Brand Sewing Kit.  The other 2 sewing kits are just as Amazing packed with either regular sewing thread or metallic threads.

Singer Sew-It-Goes Sewing Kit Video Review

Here are the 3 options that are available for the Singer Sew It Goes Sewing Essentials Box.

SINGER Sew-It-Goes, 224 Piece Kit & Craft Organizer Case Storage with Machine Sewing Thread
SINGER Sew-It-Goes – 255 Piece Sewing Kit & Basket Organizer – Sewing Case Storage with Neon Embroidery Thread
SINGER Sew-It-Goes-255 Piece Kit & Craft Organizer Sewing Case Storage with Metallic Embroidery Thread

I started learning to hand embroidery at 4 with my Mother and Grandmother.  It was something we did together. Embroidering pillowcases, dinner napkins, dish towels and tablecloths.  We would press preprinted designs onto our items and then have fun selecting the colors to use.  So many special memories of those times sharing thread for each flower or motif, working on different corners of the tablecloth.  Good times!! Wonderful Memories!!

My first sewing kit is here pictured on the right.  I received this kit when I was about 6 or 8 years old.  So this “harvest gold” (Yes, it was the 70’s) held my embroidery threads and tools.  This is a child’s size box.  This same box also came in a larger size and in clear, orange, pink and a few other “groovy” 70’s colors.  Doing a little research on it, I found out that this is called a Wilson Sewing Box and they were very popular at that time.  There were a few different styles too.  Boxes that held only sewing thread and others that had clear plastic lids.  I’m sure some of you have them tucked away too.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this product review of the Singer Sew-It-Goes Sewing Essentials Kit.  This would make a perfect gift for any new sewist.  I plan to take this kit with me when I travel in our camper.  It will hold small projects for me to take along and keep everything together.  It’s a perfect load, grab and go box!!
