First Throw Back Thursday post of the New Year and it’s a good one!! Since starting the NEW FB Group, Singer Serger Fans, I’ve added quite a few new members and we’re all excited! I put out a poll to assess the need of the group and many of the members are interested in learning to thread the machine first. If you’re not familiar with the Singer Pro Finish Serger, it’s a 2-3-4 thread capable machine with many stitching functions. Interested in learning more? Considering joining our new group.
Here’s my first video called “Serger Basics: Video Part 1” showing how to thread each of the 4 threads on this machine to do a Four-Thread Ultra-Stretch Mock Safety Stitch.
This is a great place to start learning because I take you through the entire threading process. This is the stitch I use most on this machine. The perfect stitch for constructing knits with ease. The stitch stretches with the fabrication so no worrying about popping stitches or ripped seams.
If you want to read the entire original post where I share more tips about the machine and show the included accessories, click here: “Serger Basics: Video Part 1”. Time to practice and practice, but don’t worry to much. Once you get it threaded, changing the color of the thread is easy! I promise!!
