Vogue 1224 has been reviewed over and over with so much success that I thought I would give it a try too. It’s one of those rare dresses that looks flattering on every body type. I had a novelty knit in my stash that I purchased from Joann’s a while back that I thought would look great in this pattern. It has pretty much every color knitted into the pattern, however it reads in the lavender/blue/gray family.

Everything about this pattern was simple and straightforward from cutting to sewing. I did lengthen the bodice and skirt as per many reviews suggested. I also lined the skirt of the dress in white Lycra. If you’re looking for a comfortable, easy, carefree dress, then this is the one for you. I accessorised with a black and turquoise belt and black sandals.

I will probably be making this dress again in another novelty mesh knit that I have in my stash. This dress is a Winner!!
