Hi Everyone!  I have a New video for you today.  This is Part 21 in my series Featuring the Singer Quantum Stylist 9960.  To date, this is the 30th video I’ve produced featuring this wonderful affordable machine. WOW, how time just flies on by.  Lately, I’ve been using my Singer Quantum L-500 for mask making and finishing my first quilt top.  I missed sewing on my Singer QS 9960 and am happy to be back to it, sharing a new video on another Fantastic Presser Foot!!

Here’s a new video showing How to Use the Rolled Hem Foot.

If you’re not familiar with the Rolled Hem Foot, it’s pictured on the right.  This foot was included with the regular accessories that came with the Singer QS 9960.  It’s a fabulous foot that has a  spiral fabric folder built right on the front of the foot.  It turns or “rolls” the fabric in front of the needle. As the needle stitches the fabric it’s already perfectly double folded at 1/8″.  It’s takes some practice, but once you get the hang of how to feed the fabric into the foot properly, it’s simple.  I show how to use this foot in my video demo as well as share some tips for being successful in making your projects look professionally made.  I also show a few garments detailing the practical application using this foot.

I hope if you’ve ever wondered what that strange looking presser foot was, that now you will give it a try.  It’s a time saver from the old fashion way of sewing a single needle rolled hem.  With all the folding and pressing and stitching and trimming…..Oh My!!  How about sewing the hem in one single operation??  Well, now you can!!  Hope you enjoy this new video!!

Thanks also for all the kind comments on my quilt top.  It wasn’t easy for me, but I’m so glad I gave it a try.  I’ve learned alot but still have a long way to go.  Looking forward to continuing the process.
