Hi Everyone!  I hope you found my last video, Sewing Knits with Confidence helpful.  Sewing with knits can be challenging and frustrating. Years ago when I was learning to sew with stretch knits, we had the “Stretch & Sew” patterns and method.  They taught us to pull the fabric when sewing and I never liked the results.  My seams were always wavy and had that homemade look.  I avoided  sewing with knit’s until I received my first serger in the 80’s.  Now, knowing which stitches to use, the proper needle and pressing makes all the difference when using our conventional sewing machines.  Hope you give it a try with a future project.

In this video I show How to Use the Invisible Zipper Foot.  The presser foot I show in the video demo didn’t come with the Singer Quantum Stylist 9960, but was a minimal purchase and well worth the investment.  Invisible zippers are used in many different sewing applications.  My main experience with inserting these zippers is in bridal and evening apparel, but they are widely used in bag making, garment pockets and decorative pillows.  If you’re “team pockets” and have to have them in all your clothing, adding an invisible zipper is a great way to add an in seam pocket and keep them concealed and your items protected.

Thank you for taking the time to view my latest video on How to Use The Invisible Zipper Presser Foot. I hope you’ll find this information helpful if you’ve wondered how difficult it is to insert an invisible zipper.  As you saw in my video demo, it’s not difficult at all and can really elevate your sewing to a professional level.  Thank you all so much for your support!!
