Hi Everyone!  I’m back with a New Video featuring the Singer Quantum Stylist 9960!  Recently, I was using the buttonhole feature on the 9960 and was in a hurry to make a couple to quick drawstring holes on a project.  Well, in haste, I received a warning message that I forgot to engage the buttonhole lever. As owners of this wonderful machine, we often talk about all the great features it has like the cutter, auto threader and then ease of use, but never THIS feature.  In this segment, I cover some of the most common warning alerts or messages programmed into the machine.  One of the best parts about using a computerized sewing machine is that it’s designed to give you warning messages as alerts. These messages give you a starting point for what to look for if something isn’t set up quite right when trying to perform a sewing operation.  They can remind you about things like, making sure to put your presser foot down when starting to sew, or to engage the buttonhole lever when setting up the machine to use the  buttonhole feature.  They can really be helpful, especially to new sewists in troubleshooting when an issue arises. In this video, I show some of the most common warning messages and alerts you may see on your LCD screen from time to time and share what they mean and how to remedy the issues.

I hope you find this information helpful, especially if you’ve received one of these warnings and were confused.  This really is a little known and celebrated feature of this machine, that is so helpful even to those of us that have used this machine for years and years.  Sometimes not having one little thing set up properly can be so frustrating and these warnings can get you back on the right track to sewing.  Take a little time to familiarize yourself with these different warning messages because chances are, at some point you will see one.  They’re all listed in the back of the manual for your convenience.  Happy Sewing!!
